Thank you for taking the time to review the EMJS Growth Plan.
As members of the school planning council our mandate is to:
"prepare and submit to the board a school plan for the school in respect of improving student achievement and other matters contained in the board's achievement contract relating to that school." School Act 8.3(2)
It is also our responsibility to go to the school community and get their feedback on the growth plan as input into the development of the growth plan. This year, we were asked to support moving forward with the same goal as last year - to further increase student creativity across the curriculum. The goal had been discussed at a Pro D day meeting in May and our teachers supported this goal with some concerns around writing.
It would be wonderful to get feedback from the EMJS parent community and EMJS teachers as input into the development of next years growth plan.
